Ambas forman parte de la misma regi\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno ionizado.\u00a0Esta nebulosa ha sido muy estudiada porque mezcla formaci\u00f3n estelar y nubes de gas en desarrollo. La luz de estrellas j\u00f3venes calienta lentamente el fr\u00edo gas produciendo un frente de ionizaci\u00f3n que avanza hacia el exterior.
