eratosthenes

The crater Eratosthenes appears in this half lit. A large shadow cast by the edge of the crater almost manages to hide a whole but in the center is majestic central peak. The terraces show virtually intact, this is a crater in perfect condition and has not suffered meteorite impacts after its formation.
Its 58 kilometers of diameter, not too big, but very striking because of its prominent central peak and its great depth (3.570m).
In the picture we can see part of the mountains Apeninus and the Mare Imbrium.
To obtain this image I used eyepiece projection.
